How Can I Reduce Health Care Costs For My Employees?

December 10th, 2009 by admin Leave a reply »

Anyone have any recommendations on how I can offer my employees better options to pay for their health care costs? I run a mid-sized company and am looking into different programs that can help my employees manage the costs of rising health care.

I’ve encountered a payroll services company that also manages pre-tax health savings or spending accounts for small and mid-sized companies. You might check them out. PrimePay is the name of the company.

Consider pre-tax health account programs from PrimePay. These set you up with options for your employees to allocate funds into a separate account to pay for certain health care expenses on a pre-tax basis. PrimePay offers a variety of options depending on your employees’ needs.
A pre-tax health account, sometimes known as a flexible spending account (FSA), allows you as the employer to designate pre-tax funds into a separate account to pay for certain health care premiums.
A health reimbursement arrangement (HRA) allows employers to fund account to be used for your employees’ healthcare expenses. When an employee presents the employer with a valid receipt, the employee can be reimbursed.
A health savings account (HSA) can be funded by either the employer or the employee. Contributions to this account can be made through a payroll deduction or on a tax-deductible basis.
