I do 35-50 min. a day on the elliptical trainer and feel pretty good, firm, etc. Workout feels pretty complete as is but I wonder if I’m missing something. Slipped disc means just about all stretching is out so no yoga, pilates beyond a few acu-yoga moves for pain relief. I also walk a lot, swim and may take up skating again this year. Snapping shoulders are a bit of a concern. Any ideas?
I am a Program Coordinator for a Summer Youth Employment Program. One of my students is interested in becoming a personal trainer. This one is out of my field. I’d like to give him info on how to beomce one.
How do you become a personal trainer? Do you have to go to a 4 year college or trade school for it?
I’ve been looking online, and it looks like it only takes a week long course? I need to know if there are any state tests I need to become certified, or are you just certified after the training to work anywhere in the US?
I want to lose some weight but I need the motivation. None of my friends would be tough enough to be tough on me (they would feel too guilty). So, is there a virtual fitness trainer on a website that I could use?
